Volunteer experience
I have been a volunteer in two different places, so I have two experiences of being a volunteer. Now I will introduce my two experiences.
Last term, our school held basketball games between four teams. During these matches, each basketball team needed some volunteers to help them when they had some troubles during these times. There were many jobs for volunteers to choose. My job was to help a team from JiaXin when they met some troubles during these times. For example, when they felt thirsty, I should give them water. And when they did not know how to go to the toilet, I should show them and so on.
I started my work on Saturday because this team would have matches during this day. I felt a littler nervous before I got to school because it was my first time to be a volunteer. First I introduced myself to the leader of the team. And he said that they would need water during matches, so he hoped that I could bring some water for them. So I went to the shop and bought them some water. Some times later, a person of this team asked me where the toilet was and I showed her how to get there. After they finished matches, they did not know where to have lunch. I told them there were many ways to have their lunch. They could have dinner in our school, ask some restaurants to bring food to our school or go to restaurants by themselves. And then they chose the third idea. I felt really happy during that morning because I felt that I learned some things. We should be helpful and kind to everyone around us, so the world would be much more wonderful. In the afternoon, I did some similar things. This is my first volunteer experience.
Some times ago, I went to the Nanjing library to be a volunteer. At first, I went to the library and told the leader that I want to be a volunteer for half a day. Then they brought me to a room and told what to do. I needed to put thousands books on the right places of bookshelves. At first, I felt very active and had much energy. By after two hours later, I felt very bored and had no power to go on. But I said to myself that I should not give up easily, the only thing that I should do now was working. So I kept doing my job. During this time, I found many books were on the wrong places of bookshelves and the worst thing was many books were not on the bookshelves. The only thing that I knew was just keep doing. After a long times, I finished my job. I felt really tired but very happy.
From these two experiences of being a volunteer. I know when I meet some problems in my life; I must try my best to solve it. So many things will be solved. And I should always be very kind and friendly to anyone in the world. Because only we help with each other, this world can be more wonderful.
