Religious Service
On 3rd May 2009, I went to the church with Shirley and Peter. This church was Christianity. This Religious Service was on Baixia Road. And it was one of the biggest and the most famous church in Nanjing, so we chose this church.
We attended there at about nine o’clock in the morning. When we reached there, we saw lots of cars stopped in front of this church and two women stood at the gate. They smiled to us paper about today’s task. I thought they were very kind and friendly to people. There were lots of bikes inside this church. We saw several buildings in this church. There were lots of people outside these buildings. Some of them were sitting, some of them were standing. And to our surprise, all of these people were holding a red book. I saw lots of songs on these books. Then we went into a building. There were lots of people sitting on the first floor. They were singing songs that were on these red books. They all looked very serious. We borrowed several books from the workers of this church. Then we sat down and read these books with them together. After some times later, the pastor let us stand up and recite several poetries. Then the pastor let us sit down and sing the song again. After about an hour, we took some photos in this church and left.
I did not like experience very much because I did not know anything about religious, especially Christianity. I thought I need to learn and know much more information about these things. And I found this experience was a little boring. Because during that time. I did not know how to sing these songs and what to do. I thought the only thing that I could do was just listening and tracing. And I found these followers were different from us. They looked very strange. They did not have anything on their faces .They just sang or read, and they did not have any expression on their faces.

Public event-A wedding
On 21st March 2009, My parents and I went to a wedding ceremony of a friend of my father . This wedding was in a restaurant on Hunan Road. I reached there at 11p.m. I liked attending wedding because in the wedding everybody looked very happy. So I chose this wedding.
When I reached there, the bride and the groom were standing in front of the restaurant. We met them first and took some photos with them together. Then we went in the restaurant. There were lots of people in it. We found our seats.
After some times , the wedding started. At first, we did not see the bride, but after the groom singing a song, the bride appeared. There were lots of fireworks during that time. The host said something to the bride and groom, then the bride and the groom said thanks to their parents. After then, we started eating. There was a lot of food on the table. And all these food looked very delicious. The bride and the groom sang a lot of songs together. They all looked very happy. After some times later, the host let audience sing songs to celebrate the bride and the groom. I left at 2p.m
I liked this wedding very much, because I thought this wedding had many latest things. And there were many delicious foods for us to eat. I felt very happy and excited during this wedding. Because I thought the bride was very beautiful and the groom was very handsome, and I thought this wedding was very creative, and thne creative events will give the guests great surprices.

Performance- Fashion Show
On 27th April 2009, our school held a fashion show. It was being in our school. After school, I went to watch this performance with my classmate Kassie and some other students in grade 10. I thought I was very interesting in designing and drawing, and I wanted to be a fashion designer in the future . And I was very curious about this fashion show that held by our own school. So I decided to choose this performance.
It started at half past six in the evening. There were many models there. They all looked very nervous and excited. Some of them were just students and some of them were our teachers. They all wore very beautiful and fashionable clothes. Some clothes were school uniforms, some were formal dresses, some were sport swears. At first, they walked and showed their clothes one by one. Then they showed their clothes together to us. We cheered and took lots of photos during this moment. All people there were very exciting and happy. After about an hour, it ended. And then we took some photos with some models there.
I really liked this performance, because I thought all the clothes were really nice and fashionable. Most clothes were very colorful. And I found this performance exciting and interesting, because we knew these models. And all models were very nice and their new clothes were very fashionable too. And I thought fashion show would let us know and love art much more.

volunteer experience

Volunteer experience
I have been a volunteer in three different places, so I have three different experiences of being a volunteer.
This term I have five extra hours from last term. Last term, our school held basketball games between four teams. During these matches, each basketball team needed some volunteers to help them when they had some troubles during these times. I was one of these volunteers. And I worked for Jiaxing team. I started my work on Saturday morning because they would have matches during that time. I showed them where to buy food for lunch and gave them water and showed them where the toilet was. I felt very happy and excited during these times and I made some friends during that time. I worked for about ten hours during that time. This is my first experience of being a volunteer.
On 21st March 2009, I went to Orphanage with some of my classmates. We bought many different things, such as fruit, books, sweet and so on. When we went there, we met the leader of the Orphanage and signed our names on the paper that she gave us. Then we went around the Orphanage with her. This place was very big and very clean too. She showed us rooms that these homeless children lived. These rooms were not very big but were very clean. We felt very sad during that time. These children were very unlucky. They did not have their parents and maybe they did not even see their parents. Some of them could not see anything and some of them could not say anything. Most of these children were sick. The leader of this Orphanage told us some information about these children. I hoped I could adopt some children in the future and gave love to them. I wished more people could give their loves to these people who needed help. I thought I would often come to this Orphanage and see these children.
This term, our class came to ShiGu road Primary School to teach Grade 5 students. I taught two girls and one boy with Kassie together. We taught them some new wordS. And I thought they were all very clever. And they were all very active and creative, after teaching them new words. We taught them how to play cards that called Uno. They learned very quickly and after some times later, we started to play. I thought this game was a little boring. After playing cards with them, we taught them some new knowledge about names of different countries and people, language. Finally we took photos together. Then Kassie and I gave them our phone numbers. We all thought that we had a very good time.
I think being a volunteer is a very happy thing. We are growing up and we need to devote something to our society, especially our loves. We should help these people who need our help. And I think it is very useful to be a volunteer. I can learn many things from these experiences. We can be more mature from these experiences. I really like to be a volunteer.
