The special dinner
Some weeks ago, we had a dinner with some grade 12 students. During the dinner, we need to talk about school lives in GCA and how to do presentation.
We went to My Place to have our dinner, it is a western restaurant. When we got there, the sky was very dark. The waiters there were very kind and they took us to the table. During all this dinner time, the only bad thing was that we should not choose things that we liked.
At beginning, the leader of waiters came to us and asked us what kind of drinks we want. Then he wished us to have a good dinner. we took some photos and then we had our dinner. The first course was bread, it was very nice. We talked about lives in GCA, we all thought it was very happy and freely. The second course was noodle, it was also very delicious. I thought it may be Italian noodle. The third course was some vegetables; I did not like eating vegetables, so I did not like this kind of food very much. We then talked something about presentation, they said we must speak loudly during the presentation. We must not put too much things in power point. I thought these suggestions were all very important to us.
After some hours, food on the table was all disappeared, and when we left, the leader of this restaurant asked us our feelings about this dinner. We all said it was very good. Then, they took some pictures.
I hope that I will have much more dinner with grade 12 students, they are all very kind.

The exhibition of Wu Wei Shan

Some weeks ago, we went to Nanjing University to see the exhibition of Wu Wei Shan .I like the artwork called folk musician-Ah Bin best. Here are some things that I remember about this artwork. This artwork was made in 2007. It is made by many kinds of shapes. For example, they are round, rectangle and so on. And I think these shapes make this artwork more realistic. This artwork is also made of many kinds of lines, such as curve and so on. This artwork’ color is not attractive. It is only made by coffee-color. This artwork is very hard to touch.
I think this artwork’ subject is everyone can be succeeded and music can be made by different types and different person. In this artwork, I think Ah Bin is very lonely and sad. And his eyes are very sad but very powerful.
I think Ah Bin devoted all his life to music. He loved music very much. He could play many kinds of instrument and he was very outstanding. This artwork reminds me something that I have experienced. It was rainy. And I failed my exam. I felt very sad and did not know who to talk to. I thought that I would be crazy. At that moment, I thought of Ah Bin’s representative work. After listening to that music, I felt much better than before. Because I knew that Ah Bin met more difficulties than me, he was blind. But he successed. I knew the only thing that I could do now was trying my best to study harder and harder.
Ah Bin is an orphan and crippled. But he did not give up .He loved music, so he worked hard. Some people in this world are neither crippled nor orphan. But they always give up and have no courage to live. So they commit suicide. If these people did not give up and work harder and harder, they will be succeeful. The artist intention is helping these people in need. Do not give up at any time, everyone has only one life.
Now I will give you some my opinions. I like this artwork very much. The most important reason is Ah Bin in this artwork looks very realistic. Ah Bin in the real world is also very sad. The color is coffee so it makes Ah Bin looks very sad and makes me feel very unhappy. Because when I see this dark color, I always think of his life. His life was very poor and unhappy. I think the artist is very imaginative, because he made many kinds of lines or shapes into this artwork. So these things make Ah Bin in this artwork to be very realistic.
I think other people might appreciate the artwork. Because many people like Ah Bin’s composition and Ah Bin is very famous all over the world. And Ah Bin worked very hard on music all his life.
